Finding the perfect gift for a loved one with an Autoimmune disease can be a tricky task. Do you buy them a useful gift surrounding their autoimmune disease? Or do you stray away from disease-related gifts….even if they are helpful? Not to worry I have got you covered both ways with gifts that are not technically Autoimmune related but they also just happen to make life with autoimmune diseases easier! The best of both worlds.
I like to start all gift posts off with the same disclaimer: It’s always better to ask your loved one what they would like. You can never miss it if you already know the target! But I have put together a very universal and functional list of gifts that anyone would love to receive!
Unicorn CBD
I have written about the Truly Beauty Unicorn CBD cream over 30 times at this point and I will never stop. CBD cream when applied topically can reduce inflammation and pain. I almost instantly notice a difference once applied. Autoimmune disease or not; back pain, knee pain, ankle pain, and just any pain in general can benefit from a topical CBD. Most CBD creams are expensive, smell weird, and are skimpy with the product for the price. Truly beauty knocks it out of the park when it comes to a quality CBD cream that gives relief almost instantly and smells unreal. I cannot recommend it enough. If you buy one thing off this list it has to be this CBD cream. Grab one for yourself while you’re at it you will not regret it.

Juicer
Juicing is one thing I think everyone should do – Autoimmune disease or not. The benefits of juicing depend on the vegetables and fruits you choose but overall the benefits include reducing inflammation, anti-aging, increased energy, and detoxing the body. I have never felt better in my life since I started incorporating fresh-pressed juices into my diet. I would have LOVED to receive a juicer!
Instant pot
Instant pots are crock pots on steroids. Like crockpots they share the same slow-cooking feature and then some. Pressure cooking, steaming, rice cooking, fermenting, and searing are all features the instant pot offers. Making it a great gift for someone with or without an Autoimmune disease. Everyone likes an all-in-one appliance that makes weeknight meals stress-free and nutritious.
Hokas
Wearing unsupportive shoes designed for the looks, not for the practicality can exacerbate pre-existing issues like hip, knee, and joint pain. I reluctantly made the switch to Hokas about a year ago. I was against it strictly because I liked the modern styles all my friends were wearing. Now I wouldn’t even think about going back to modern shoes even for a night. My knee and joint pain significantly decreased when I started wearing shoes made to support your feet. I am not constantly in pain and I can enjoy my time on my feet. I linked the ones I have which I think are the cutest!
Silk Pillowcase
Silk pillowcases absorb less moisture than other fabrics allowing your hair to retain its moisture. Silk is also a non-friction fabric preventing breakage throughout the night. I love my silk pillowcase so much that I had to go ahead and get matching sheets! Most people with Autoimmune disease suffer from hair loss at one point or another. This is a great gift for prevention and to up their self-care game!
Tea sampler
tea sampler is definitely on my wishlist. This is a great gift for someone who loves tea and for someone new to herbal medicine. Teas are a great natural remedy for pain, inflammation, insomnia, etc. Which makes tea a resource for everyday pain that comes with Autoimmune diseases. I wanted to find a put-together sampler but some teas that activate the immune system are not recommended for people with Autoimmune diseases so I will link all my favorite teas below and you can make your own tea basket!
Ice Roller
Ice rolling stimulates the lymphatic system which aids in cleansing and removing waste from the body, stimulating blood flow, and reduces puffiness. Self-care is important for people with Autoimmune diseases because it can help reduce stress and unmanaged stress directly affects the state of one’s Autoimmune disease. Taking time for yourself and meeting your needs is a great way to reduce stress during your morning or night routine. Making a face roller a great gift alone or in a self-care gift basket!
Waterpik
Waterpiks are a great gift and work wonders for oral health. Using a Waterpik can reduce inflammation on a cellular level and remove bacteria from hard-to-reach spots in the mouth before it hardens and turns into plaque. I know a waterpik might not sound like the best gift but since becoming an adult getting useful gifts is my favorite part of the holidays. I’m able to. buy what I want with my money and get what I need in gifts! Oral health can be affected by various Autoimmune diseases so having a strong teeth routine is a must.
The Poseidon Waterpik and electric toothbrush were recommended to me by my dentist and I asked for it for Christmas a couple of years ago now. At the time I did not think it was worth the $79 price tag but after researching the effects Autoimmune diseases can have on your teeth I wanted to have the best oral health routine I could. If you want to check out the Waterpik and electric toothbrush click here.
