1. Foundation
I’ve raved about this foundation on my blog countless times. It truly is the ONLY foundation I’ve found that completely covers my butterfly rash and it is gentle on my skin. The only issue for me is the price coming in at $40. But for a Christmas gift, this is perfect!
2. Sunscreen
This is another splurge product BUT it’s one of the only facial sunscreens that works with my Lupus skin and doesn’t cause redness. This would be great in a self-care basket gift of products to try! The sun can be a big trigger for people with Lupus so a good sunscreen is a staple. There are more cost effective options like Cerave AM cream. The only reason I like the Elta MD sunscreen better is because I’ve never had a breakout using it. Every other sunscreen I’ve used will give me a small breakout at some point.
3. Facewash
My absolute favorite face wash that is gentle and doesn’t aggravate my butterfly rash is the La Rochay Posay face wash. On top of being gentle and not irritating my skin. I love this face wash because its easy to find. Most products that work on my skin can’t be found in stores.
4. Body pillow
Pain and fatigue are two common symptoms people with Lupus suffer so a body pillow would be used regularly. And it would be a super thoughtful gift! This is the one I use and love. You’re able to hit so many pressure points due to the shape. This has been a quick way to get relief from joint pain. This is actually a pregnancy body pillow but it does the trick!
Cooking can be difficult for those with chronic illnesses due to the toll it can take on your boy. Here are my recent favorite kitchen gadgets that make cooking 10x easier!
5. Instant Pot
I highly recommend considering an instant pot as a Christmas gift. They prepare meals up to 70% faster and they are kind of like a crockpot in the aspect of the options are endless in what you can make in them. For example, you can make anything from rice, chili, and potato soup all the way to pork tenderloin. Definitely check the instant pot out!
6. Veggie chopper
This is one of the best gadgets that makes life with chronic illness easier. It cuts all your veggies for you evenly which can help reduce fatigue from cooking! It’s a cheap, easy-to-find, option that you can’t go wrong with it.
Grocery delivery
This might be one of the best ideas in my opinion. There are many companies that offer grocery delivery services but Shipt is by far become my favorite. A Shipt subscription is $99 per year. With that you get your groceries delivered in two hours from stores like Target, Winn-dixie, Publix, and more. Getting a subscription for your loved one is a great idea they will thank you for. Grocery shopping can take a lot out of people with Lupus. Taking away the added stress of grocery shopping in person will help save energy.
Let me know in the comments what gifts you end up getting or gifts I should keep a look out for! These are my favorite Lupus-friendly Christmas gifts and a few I hope to receive this year.
